FREMONT, California (July 10, 2000) – Startup telemedicine company MDvistaTM, welcomes onboard a key new senior physician -- Bingyin Wang, MD, PhD -- to lead its introduction of an online Chinese medical journal. The MDvista Journal of Medicine-Greater China is part of the initial stage of the Company’s new international telemedicine effort – MDvista Greater China. “Dr. Wang represents a significant addition to our staff and to MDvista’s telemedicine strategy,” said Antonio Q. Chan, MD, MM, FACC, Founder, CEO and Chairman of MDvista. “He brings to the Company a long and successful record of Dr. Wang, MD, PhD, will hold the senior position of Chief of Medical Services for MDvista Greater China. In this capacity, he will work with a newly comprised advisory group of leading Chinese medical scholars and physicians to guide MDvista’s overall telemedicine products and services – each to be designed specifically for the Greater China markets.

Beginning with MDvista’s distance learning services, Dr. Wang will oversee the translation of the current English-based MDvista Journal of Medicine™ into Chinese. Furthermore, in collaboration with a prestigious set of Chinese medical professors – the Editorial Board -- he will serve as Editor-in-Chief – and begin to build the MDvista Journal of Medicine-Greater China. The Journal’s first issue will be available in late Fall 2000 at www.mdvista.com. Since 1992, Dr. Wang has been a research scientist at Stanford University, serving as the Li KaShing Fellow. He received his MD from HangzhouZhejiang University and his PhD from Beijing University.
